WHAT IS SO MUCH BETTER ABOUT A FAR INFRARED SAUNA?
A traditional steam sauna works primarily on the skin's surface, but far infrared heat penetrates the surface up to two inches. It is more energy efficient and takes less time to heat, and is safer and can be used longer because it runs at lower temperatures.

IS HEAT STROKE A COMMON PROBLEM?
No! With traditional saunas, which may reach over twice the body's average temperature (up to 200° F!), the heat can disturb the brain's temperature-regulating region, the hypothalamic region. When the head is unprotected, heat stroke can occur. However, far infrared saunas operate effectively at much lower temperatures, so heat stroke is not likely to occur.

These are contained in water molecules which are disintegrated by the heat of an infrared sauna, and then leave the body through freshly opened pores and capillaries. Infrared saunas can be used for longer than conventional spas, so this detoxification lasts longer and is more fully effective.

WILL IT HELP PREVENT HEART DISEASE? HOW?
Infrared saunas stimulate the cardiovascular system by increasing circulation. Since the heat causes blood vessels to expand, blood pressure does not rise with this increased circulation, so the benefits of increased circulation and an active heart come without any negative side effects, so risk of heart disease is reduced. Infrared saunas work the same as elevating your heart rate through exercise, but are far more relaxing.
